May Devoution

April gives way to May, one of four months of the year dedicated to our Blessed Lady

SVP Collection

Next weekend, a retiring collection, across the Sunday Masses for the work of the SVP

This coming Thursday is the feast of the Ascension of The Lord into Heaven 40 days after His Resurrection and is a Holyday of Obligation. I will celebrate three Masses to allow as many parishioners as possible to come: before work, during your lunch break, or after work. I hope one of these Masses will fit your diary, work, and family commitments.

Tomorrow (Monday) is a Bank Holiday and a day off for some. Mass is at the earlier time of 10am so you can make the most of the day, should you have it free: a mid-morning Mass and then the rest of the day to spend with family and friends.

Meanwhile, this month marks the first anniversary of our three social projects! Huge thanks to all involved. More inside this week’s Newsletter.

How to Make May Special: Devotion to Our Lady

The month of May is dedicated to devotion to our Lady, the Mother of God. You may already have a devotion to our Lady as part of your daily or weekly prayers, or perhaps devotion to our Lady is not yet part of your prayers at home or when you come to Church. Love of our Lady is a natural consequence of love for Our Lord: no-one could love our Lady more than Jesus, and Jesus gave us His Mother to be our Mother also, when He entrusted our Lady into St John’
